Activity Groups

We welcome all who support our inclusive mission to support women and the community. Drop by on Wednesdays between 9 am and 7 pm to find out more about the Club or join one of our Activity Group meetings.

Antiques: Presentations on antiques, collectibles, or history topics at a monthly Zoom meeting.
Be a Dear and Donate a Brassiere: Supports women in need by providing gently used and new undergarments to shelters, clothing closets and drop-in centers. We bring together our community of women to help others through special events.
Best Furry Friends: Working together we partner with local companion animal charities to volunteer, drive awareness, and raise funds for animals. Group meets ad-hoc based on member interests and events.  
Besse Book Group: Monthly book discussion
Handicrafts: A different craft or art project each month.
Ladies Who Do Lunch: A hands on opportunity to give back to the community, we make & serve lunch to 30 women monthly at a local shelter. You can buy or make the food and after serving, spend time with the women to share stories.
Mahjong: For all levels of mahjong players,
Music Study: This group hosts musical programs followed by a social time with the performers.
Voices in Action: The Group's focus is learning, sharing and doing, using our knowledge, skills and what motivates us. We engage with our community, support them and are a positive force as we identify and address issues of public concern. We use our voices to take action and be visible in matters of civic engagement. Monthly evening meetings.
ACE - Arts, Culture & Entertainment: This newly formed group is committed to developing a variety of events including dance, music, art, and cultural activities that reflect and serve our diverse community. ACE meets on the second Monday at the Clubhouse from 11:00-12:30 p.m. in the Club's Fireside Room. RSVP to Chair Darlene Tenes at ace@sjwomansclub.org.
