Los Gatos Creek Trai…
Los Gatos Creek Trail

Los Gatos Little League, 57 Miles Ave, Los Gatos, CA 95030, USA
On first Friday, April 4th, we will walk the Los Gatos Trail to check out our full Lexington Reservoir. This 4 mile trail is mostly flat except for a very short walk up at the dam to view the reservoir. With all the rain we’ve been getting, it may be possible that there is some spillway action at the dam.
Meet in the free parking lot at 57 Miles Ave, Los Gatos, at 9am If you have any questions, please contact walk-leader Helene at 408-997-4335.
Additional Info: Everyone welcome, SJWC membership not required. We encourage you to bring water and a hat to all walks.

The Mahjong Group meets on the first and third Mondays of the month at the Clubhouse from 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Club's Tea Room. On months with a fifth Monday, the group holds a bonus meeting.
If you have never tried this game of skill, strategy, and luck, or you are an experienced player, you are welcome to join in the fun!

Sewing Group: Not me…
Sewing Group: Not meeting this month

Sewing Group is not meeting this month. We look forward to seeing you in May, when we will be making zipper bags. Note, in May, we are meeting on the the third Wednesday, May 21, just for that month.
SJWC's newest Group, chaired by veteran sewers Sandy Swirsky and Jackie Daemon, meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the Clubhouse from 10 am to 2 pm. If you have an easy to move sewing machine, bring it with you.
Group members choose a project for each meeting and a materials list is provided in advance. Project ideas include leaf bowls, banner wall hangings or table runners with appliques, simple stuffed toys, potato heating bags, reusable bags for gifts, learning to make clothes, and learning to crochet.
Bring your lunch and beverage and snacks to share if you want.
Please RSVP so we know how to set up the room. We look forward to enjoying this new activity with you!

Opera with the Stars Gala Luncheon

San Jose Woman's Club
Join us in celebrating 130 years of empowering women and supporting the arts and the community at San Jose Woman’s Club annual Opera with the Stars Gala Luncheon, which is making its first return following the COVID interruption. All proceeds benefit the SJWC Scholarship Fund, which has provided more than $100,000 in vocal and academic scholarships to San Jose State University students.

Doors open at 11:15 am, Lunch is at 12:00 pm and the performance begins at 1:00 pm. Don't have time for lunch? Arrive at 12:30 for just dessert and the concert! Whether you attend or not, you can dedicate an aria in honor of your organization or a special someone.
During the gala, you and your guests will enjoy an elegant luncheon (vegan available) at a themed Opera table, live performances by exceptional Resident Artists from Opera San Jose, enhanced by the acoustics of our beautiful, landmark Clubhouse, and an opportunity to bid on exclusive experiences and fabulous gift baskets at the silent auction.
This event is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of art and resilience. We are still here in our 130th year, and we can’t wait for this party to honor some of the women who have made that possible, including Jeanne McCann, who is a past President of SJWC and was instrumental in founding and supporting Opera San Jose, and Betty Ann Chandler, a 107-year-old SJWC member who joined the Club in the 1940s, after graduating from San Jose State University with a Bachelor in Education.

Art, Culture, & Antiques Group Meeting

Vicki Cirner, who is a well-known antiques dealer and appraiser will tell us about the history of Coca Cola and how it influenced advertising in the U.S. This event is hosted by SJWC's Antiques, Art, and Culture Group and is free and open to all. Bring a brown bag lunch and learn something new! Dessert and beverages will be provided.

Mind, Body and Soil Gardening Group

Join us at our newest group. Avid gardeners all, we clear our minds and find inspiration working in the garden; we work on keeping our bodies fit and strong, and in the soil we find the immense satisfaction that gardening can bring. We promote sustainability, planting native species, protecting pollinators, and safe and healthy practices. We produce beauty, peace, conviviality, good things to eat and bouquets galore! We share garden know-how, learning from each other and from garden masters. We visit other people’s gardens and gardens of note near and far. We share cuttings and seeds and, most importantly, we share, nourish and grow friendship. We welcome you to come grow with us!
Group meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at the Clubhouse, a member's garden or a public garden, usually from 4-5:30 pm.

Best Furry Friends meeting

Are you a cat lady, dog mom, or all around animal lover? What a coincidence! So are we. Best Furry Friends formed in 2016 to partner with local companion animal charities to volunteer, drive awareness, and raise funds for our furry friends in need.
Join us in our mission to help animals in need. We create fundraisers, organize animal welfare events, and han out with our best furry friends.
When: BFF meets in January, April, July, and October on the third Tuesday of the month, 5:30 - 7:00pm on zoom and/or in person.
